4.1 Free Estimates
Akron Concrete Services provides free, no-obligation written quotes for all residential and commercial concrete projects following an on-site assessment. 4.2 Quote Validity
Written quotes provided by Akron Concrete Services are valid for a period of 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated on the quote document. After this period, material costs, labor rates, or site conditions may have changed,nged and a revised quote may be required before work can commence.
4.3 Quote Accuracy
Quotes are prepared based on information gathered during the on-site assessment and information provided by the client. Any scope changes or additions will be communicated to the client in writing before additional work is undertaken.
4.4 Quote Acceptance
A quote becomes a binding agreement only when it has been signed and accepted by the client and countersigned by an authorized representative of Akron Concrete Services, and any required deposit has been received. Verbal acceptance of a quote does not constitute a binding agreement.
5. Services & Project Agreements
5.1 Scope of Work
The scope of work for each concrete project is defined in the written quote and any accompanying project documentation provided by Akron Concrete Services. Work outside the defined scope will not be undertaken without the client’s written approval and may incur additional charges.
5.2 Client Responsibilities
By engaging Akron Concrete Services, the client agrees to:
- Provide accurate and complete information about the project site and requirements
- Ensure safe and adequate access to the project site for our crew, equipment, and concrete delivery vehicles on the agreed project dates
- Notify Akron Concrete Services of any known underground services, utilities, or infrastructure within the work area before commencement
- Obtain any required permits, approvals, or permissions from relevant local authorities before work b,egins unless otherwise agreed in writing
- Ensure the work area is clear of obstructions, vehicles, furniture, plants, and other items before our crew arrives on site
- Not interfere with or instruct members of the Akron Concrete Services crew directly during project execution
5.3 Underground Services
Akron Concrete Services takes reasonable precautions on all projects,ojects but is not responsible for damage to underground services, utilities, pipes, cables, or other infrastructure that has not been identified and marked by the client or the relevant utility authority before commencement of work. The client is responsible for arranging utility locating services where required before excavation or ground disturbance commences.
5.4 Permits & Approvals
Unless specifically agreed in writing as part of our scope, the client is responsible for obtaining all required building permits, HOA approvals, local authority consents, and other permissions required for the concrete work. Akron Concrete Services may assist with permit documentation on request, but is not responsible for delays or costs arising from permit or approval processes.
5.5 Weather & Site Conditions
Concrete work is subject to weather conditions and site-specific factors that may be outside our control. Akron Concrete Services reserves the right to reschedule project commencement or suspend work in progress if weather conditions, site conditions, or other factors make it unsafe or impractical to proceed. We will communicate any schedule changes to the client as promptly as possible. We are not liable for delays caused by adverse weather, acts of nature, utility failures, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
5.6 Variations to Scope
Any changes to the agreed project scope requested by the client after work has commenced will be assessed by Akron Concrete Services and communicated to the client in a written variation order, including the additional cost and any impact on the project timeline. Variation work will not commence until the client has provided written approval of the variation order.
6. Pricing & Payment
6.1 Quoted Prices
All prices quoted by Akron Concrete Services are in US Dollars and are inclusive of all agreed materials, labor, equipment, and finishing unless otherwise stated on the quote document. Prices do not include permit fees, engineering fees, utility locating services, or other costs outside our direct scope unless specifically included in the written quote.
6.2 Deposit Requirements
Akron Concrete Services may require a deposit payment before scheduling project commencement. Deposit requirements will be stated on the quote document. The deposit amount and payment due date will be confirmed at the time of quote acceptance. Deposits are non-refundable if the client cancels the project after scheduling has been confirmed and materials have been ordered, except where cancellation is due to a material breach by Akron Concrete Services.
6.3 Progress Payments
For larger projects, Akron Concrete Services may issue progress payment invoices at agreed milestones during the project. Progress payment schedules will be detailed in the project agreement or quote documentation. Progress payments are due within the timeframe stated on each invoice.
6.4 Final Payment
Final payment is due upon completion of the project unless otherwise agreed in writing. Completion is defined as the date on which the agreed scope of work has been finishe,d and the final walkthrough has been conducted with the client. Final payment terms will be stated on the final invoice.
6.5 Late Payment
Payments not received by the due date stated on the invoice may be subject to a late payment fee. Akron Concrete Services reserves the right to charge interest on overdue amounts at a rate of 1.5 percent per month or the maximum rate permitted by Ohio law, whichever is lower. Akron Concrete Services also reserves the right to suspend any ongoing work on the client’s project until overdue amounts are settled in full.
6.6 Disputed Invoices
If you believe an invoice contains an error, please notify us in writing within 5 business days of receipt. We will review the disputed amount and respond promptly. Undisputed portions of any invoice remain due by the original payment due date.
6.7 Accepted Payment Methods
Accepted payment methods will be confirmed at the time of quote acceptance and may include check, bank transfer, or other methods as agreed. Payment by credit card may be subject to a processing fee where applicable.
7. Workmanship Warranty
7.1 Warranty Coverage

Our workmanship warranty does not cover:

- Surface damage caused by the application of de-icing salts, chemicals, or cleaning products not approved for use on concrete
- Cracking or damage caused by tree root movement, soil settlement, or other subsurface conditions not identified at the time of construction
- Damage caused by acts of nature, re including extreme weather events, flooding, freeze-thaw cycles beyond normal seasonal expectations, or seismic activity
- Normal weathering, color variation, efflorescence, or surface wear consistent with the expected aging of concrete materials
- Work performed by third parties on or adjacent to our concrete installations after project completion
- Damage resulting from failure to reseal decorative concrete surfaces within the recommended resealing schedule
7.3 Warranty Claims
To make a warranty claim, please contact Akron Concrete Services in writing within the warranty period with a description of the issue and photographs of the relevant concrete surface. We will assess the claim and respond within a reasonable timeframe. Warranty claims do not entitle the client to withhold payment for completed and accepted work.
8. Limitation of Liability
8.1 General Limitation
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Ohio and federal law, Akron Concrete Services shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with our services or your use of our website, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

- Cancellation more than 7 business days before the scheduled project start date: Deposit may be refunded less any material costs already incurred by Akron Concrete Services in preparation for your project.
- Cancellation within 7 business days of the scheduled project start date: Deposit is non-refundable. You may also be liable for any additional costs incurred, including materials ordered, equipment hired, and crew scheduling costs directly attributable to your project.
- Cancellation after project work has commenced: You are liable for payment of all work completed to date, plus any materials purchased and non-returnable costs incurred for the full project scope.
9.2 Cancellation by Akron Concrete Services
Akron Concrete Services reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a project in circumstances including but not limited to: severe weather conditions making work unsafe or impractical, site conditions that differ materially from those assessed at the time of quoting, failure by the client to meet deposit or payment obligations, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. In the event of cancellation by Akron Concrete Services,s where no fault lies with the client, any deposit paid will be refunded in full.
10. Dispute Resolution
10.1 Good Faith Resolution
In the event of any dispute arising out of or in connection with our services or these Terms and Conditions, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute through good-faith direct communication. Please contact us directly with any complaint or concern, and we will make every effort to reach a fair and reasonable resolution promptly.

Akron Concrete Services is not liable for injury or damage caused by unauthorized access to active work areas or freshly poured concrete surfaces.
12.3 Wet Concrete Hazards
Fresh concrete is a caustic material that can cause skin and eye irritation or burns upon contact. Please ensure that children and pets are kept away from fresh concrete at all times. Our crew will advise you on safe distances and access restrictions during your project.
